Using Voyager 9.1.1 with Windows 10

CARLI Office staff are aware that many I-Share institutions are migrating or planning to migrate their computing environments to Windows 10. We're also aware that Ex Libris' statement on support for the use of Voyager 9.1.1 with Windows 10 has presented a challenge to libraries and their host institutions.

CARLI staff have followed discussions among I-Share members and Voyager libraries outside of CARLI. We have also performed a basic amount of testing as well. There is a consensus of evidence to suggest that the clients work as well in Windows 10 as on previous versions. We’re not aware of new issues that are specific to Windows 10; though other known issues still persist from previous versions of Windows.

We’ve updated our statement on Using Voyager 9.1.1 with Windows 10, and we hope it helps answer your concerns better than before. In brief, we believe that libraries can move ahead to Windows 10. CARLI will still work with you to find solutions or workarounds to any client issues you encounter.
